"A walk?" Peter tilted his head.
Skip pointed down the road, where the woods were beginning. The picnic was at the entrance of a huge forest, and Peter loved to explore. "There's a bunch of trails. It'll be fun!"
"Okay!" Peter nodded, accepting Skip's proffered hand and falling in step with the older man as they walked away from the busy picnic.
Peter looked over his shoulder, where Aunt May was still distracted. He should probably tell her where he's going, but she was pretty busy, and he was going with Skip, after all. She wouldn't mind, anyway.
Why wouldn't he be anything but safe?
