Tony, decidedly, did not turn to look at Bruce. That would mean admitting that he was there. That would mean knowing someone was watching him, and he didn’t want anyone watching him. He wanted to be alone with his mortality, for once. The side effect of being a superhero and putting your life on the line was that your death became a show for everyone to watch. They would see you die, and mourn you publicly. It was all so public.
Everything in Tony's life had been public, for far too long.
It was time to have something private. His own show, just for himself. A death that only he witnessed.
But Bruce was here.
