Ash's brain was the source of her strengths and her weaknesses. Its volatility could tear planets apart or establish solutions to problems destroying them. Although she knew her capacity to do unconsidered things, the constant fear of destroying those she loved trapped her.
Her grasp of control dwindled, and the building of dread and loss weighed heavy on her shoulders.
She could feel something brewing and every step she took broke down another wall stopping the inevitable. Soon, there would be nothing she could do to stop it - stop him. Ash knew she had to begin to train herself to fight it, even if it meant endangering those she loved.
Ego's death unlocked more knowledge about her power than before and created the foundation of determination within her.
Thanos would not succeed.
She would make sure of that.
