“I love you” Tony interrupted with the three words he knew Stephen needed to hear. His voice soft but firm, his gaze unwavering as he stared into the blue depths of Stephen’s eyes.
Silence descended on the room at Tony’s words. And then as if being strangled by emotions Stephen choked out, “You can’t! You barely even know me. You-you hated me.”
