Captain America: Homosexual?
Everyone knows the story of Peggy Carter and Steve Rogers. The two met at Camp Lehigh as Rogers underwent his military training after being selected for Project Rebirth by Colonel Chester Phillips and Doctor Abraham Erskine. And while the specifics of their relationship were never revealed, it is well known that Agent Margaret Carter and Captain America’s lives were intertwined for the brief period they worked together during the war.
Many, including myself, still think of them as the romantic ideal. We have all seen the number of times Carter’s face appeared in the Howling Commando reels in Rogers’ compass, and we’ve heard the way Carter talks about Rogers. Not to mention the rumours.
But what if the history books got it wrong?
