Wade is a fuck up. And so is Peter Parker, but Peter has morals and an enough personal guilt for two men.
Or at least that’s what Wade is counting on when he realizes he has a daughter out there and if she ever wants to meet her dad he has to be better than THIS.
So a forced friendship quickly turns genuine and Peter spends much time ranting about his situationship to his employer while Wade does his damn best to be a good guy. Or at the very least a less bad one.
And if they fall for each other along the way? You can call Wade a mastermind.
