“So, let me get this straight,” Mr Stark said. “You, in the matter of a few hours unsupervised, managed to destroy a probably priceless Roman statue and unleash some toxic substance onto Ted—resulting in an altered state of consciousness—whom you’ve now got restrained on another priceless—”

“No, no, no!” Peter tried to prevent his voice from climbing in pitch, but it was futile. “It’s a curse, Mr Stark, I swear! His eyes went green and everything—”

“Uh huh,” he replied, still unconvinced. “Did the Romans even do curses?”

“Yes? No? It was for the Egyptian God Serapis.”

“Oh, well, the fact that it’s more like Scooby-Doo: Where’s My Mummy? just makes it so much better,” Mr Stark said sarcastically, and Peter couldn’t help but notice the man was rather fixated on the cartoon.

(And had quite an impressive recall regarding the franchise.)
